When people wear Dahlgrens and they feel so incredible, are so soft and comfy, when they perform some pretty amazing feats, people love to talk about it. And you know what? We LOVE to hear what is being said! As a family company, we take all of this very personally. We read every comment, good, bad, or otherwise, and do our very best to respond to each one because we appreciate that wearing our socks meant enough to someone to sit down and write (or call) us about them. Fortunately, we mostly hear good things, but we also place special importance on the occasional "constructive criticism" because it's incredibly helpful feedback that we use to build a better sock and that, my friends, is pretty much our whole goal in life. I must say I gave your socks a trial by fire today. I’ve spent 26 hours in one single pair, the first 8 hours standing post at a fallen Officers funeral and the last 18 hours on patrol. I have experienced everything from cold outside to warm inside and warm in the car and the socks have performed flawlessly. I bought the Light-Hiking socks on a recommendation from Gregg I must say you were spot on sir truly a fantastic pair of socks.

After a VERY busy weekend at the nursery (unloading lots of trailer trucks of annuals and selling lots with the arrival of spring and Mother's Day - Finally) I am pleased to report that my feet never felt better. My new walking socks provide outstanding cushioning AND my feet are dry. Thank you for an outstanding product and fast mail order service.

To whom it may concern:
I wanted to convey to your company what an excellent sock you make and how it literally saved my feet. I'm the Assistant Air Officer on the USS Abraham Lincoln, currently en route back to the US after being part of the US forces in the Persian Gulf. I was assigned to the Lincoln in July and knew that my job required long hours of standing in the control tower wearing less than foot friendly deck boots (basically slip on steel-toed combat boots). I made a quick stop one afternoon at an outdoor outfitter store in Mt Vernon, WA while I was getting my pre-deployment supplies together and thought I'd try something a little better than tube socks to see if it'd help alleviate the stress on my feet for the long days ahead. I picked up 5 pairs of LT Hiker for what I thought would be a 6 month voyage. Well, after 9+ months, a lot of days of spending 17 hours on my feet in the tower (including eating my meals that way), those LT Hikers saved me. My feet stayed comfortable and dry even on 100+ degree days in the Gulf. On the off day when I was letting my Dahlgrens dry after hand-washing them (glad I brought a good supply of Woolight), a pair of regular athletic socks would leave my feet damp and hurting, so I was so happy to get my Lt Hikers back on as soon as possible. I couldn't have been nearly as effective in my job if those socks hadn't been so good. After this deployment finally ends, they'll see "service" on the trails of the Cascades when I get home. Thanks so much... Just wanted to let you know that the 4 pair of socks that we ordered were used for backpacking in Alaska, and they were absolutely amazing!!! They are softer and more comfortable than anything I have EVER owned. Kudos to you guys on a great products

I have had many problems with my feet. When I was 17 years old I started working at a Steel Manufacturer. Since that time I have worn steel toe boots and have had really bad athlete’s foot. No matter what I tried, (OTC creams, white cotton socks, Rx from my Doctor) NOTHING WORKED. I suffered severe foot pain until I found your socks. Within two days, I saw a major difference in my feet. Within two weeks, my feet were completely healed and have been ever since. Your socks are the only socks I will wear.
My profession has always required me to be on my feet. Now I don't have to be in pain while I am at work. Thank you so much for your product. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

I recently ordered two pairs of your Backpacking socks, and wanted to let you know how delighted I am with their performance. I am an experienced hiker, and am prone to feel blisters even when using liner socks. I just came back from a weeklong trip during which I wore your socks without liners, and didn't develop so much as a hot spot. I'm sold, and you have just made a lifelong customer.

I recently purchased two pair of your socks to give them a try, and did I ever wake up. I work in a cabinet shop building cabinets everyday; where we have a concrete floor. The place is well ventilated because of it being an older building. I was headed to work the other morning; I looked outside at the thermometer, it was a nice nineteen degrees. Well the thought crossed my mind, so I put on a pair of your Dri-Stride Alpaca socks. My legs hurt me because of temperature changes, and that morning I knew that I was in for a nightmare. I went through that day fully expecting the worst; and was I ever wrong. My legs and feet felt so good I thought I had died and gone to heaven. The thing that was impressive to me was to find a sock that not only felt great, but also lived up to its claim. Oh by the way our fully functional gas heater broke down that morning, and my feet stayed as comfortable as they would have at home in bed.

I just returned from a short hike (2 miles) using your socks for the first time. They are exceptionally comfortable and at no time did my feet feel hot or sweaty, nor did they slide around in the socks. I am looking forward to really breaking them in on some more extended hikes/backpacks. They are indeed a pleasure to wear and I will recommend Dahlgren backpacking socks to my other hiking buddies. They'll also make great Christmas stocking stuffers (no pun intended) for my son, who enjoys getting out into the woods as much as I do.

Dahlgren's alpaca socks are the best hiking and skiing socks made. I bought a few pair years ago just to try them out. I've used them hundreds of times and they still work as well as the day I bought them, despite throwing them into the washer and dryer. They don't itch. They don't smell. They don't shrink and get thicker as they age, the way wool socks do. They don't wear out. I don't get blisters with them, my feet stay warm in the winter, and they don't get sweaty in the summer. The best thing about them is that I don't have to think about my feet at all when I'm out having fun.

I have been a loyal customer of your product for many years now, and I find that no other sock comes close to the quality and comfort that your product gives me. I hike and backpack approx 500km every summer and I wear your socks exclusively. Never had a blister since I switched to dahlgren.

I have been wearing your line of socks for many years. I have never been disappointed in the comfort or durability. I have purchased socks several different stores; like REI and other specialty stores. Recently a friend gave me a new pair of your dress casual socks. Oh my, what an incredible sock. They have to be the most comfortable socks I have ever worn. I am amazed at how cool these socks are, even though they are made from wool. I live in Redding, Ca and this past week it has been in the 100 degree range. Cool comfort is the best way to describe them. I also noticed the support they offer. I will be buying several of the different models.

I have worn and laundered my new socks, and I'm very pleased. I hope they last as long as the previous style I ordered through Zappos five years ago. I still wear them.
